Overview

Gusto Pizza, located on Via Tuscolana in the heart of Rome, is a standout destination for authentic Italian pizza lovers. This pizzeria captures the essence of classic Roman pizza, offering a diverse menu that goes beyond the traditional Margherita. From the crispy, well-seasoned Pizza Margherita to more inventive options like the Bresaola Rocket and Mozzarella or the Zucchini Pizza Rossa, it caters to both purists and adventurous eaters alike.

The restaurant excels particularly with its supplì, a traditional Roman fried rice ball. While the classic supplì is a crowd favorite, boasting a golden, crunchy exterior and the expected mozzarella pull, some diners note a slight opportunity to enhance the rice's texture and sauciness. Nevertheless, these bites remain flavorful and a perfect companion to the main pizza offerings.

Gusto Pizza’s dough is a highlight. Fans of thin, crispy crusts will appreciate the almost crustless, airy base that perfectly balances crunch and chewiness. This craftsmanship shows attention to detail and respect for Roman pizza-making traditions. The pizza al taglio style suits both casual lunch breaks and relaxed evenings.

The atmosphere is informal and welcoming, making it ideal for locals and visitors seeking an authentic yet unpretentious dining experience. The staff is attentive and kind, creating a friendly environment within a quiet setting. This makes Gusto Pizza suitable for quick lunches during busy workdays or laid-back gatherings with friends.

Overall, Gusto Pizza merges tradition with subtle innovation, offering quality ingredients and refined preparation. Its location in a bustling Roman neighborhood attracts a lively crowd, mainly workers, reflecting in the steady flow during lunch hours. Whether you crave a classic slice or something more unique like the Spinaci Salciccia e Mozzarella, Gusto Pizza proves a reliable and satisfying choice for pizza enthusiasts in Rome.
